Jog back, jog back.
This year in Colorado, theres a new sport: Football - flag football played by girls.
These gloves, these are pink.
I really like these ones because it's just girly.
Like, I'm a girl playing football and it's just cute.
At Denvers George Washington High School, these athletes have one big cheerleader.
Hey, keep it up.
Yall are right there.
Coach Tyla Wilder, or as they like to call her, “Coach T.” I just try to pour all my belief in them.
Like, I don't care what the score is, no pressure, a sport where you're just out here to have fun.
Coach T played division III basketball in college, and until this year, shed never picked up a football Im watching football all the time, Saturday football, college football Sunday football, Im watching football all the time.
For coach T, a new sport has brought a whole lot of fumbles.
It's a challenge, right?
For all of us learning something new.
Time out!
Us just getting on the same page.
Shes had to recruit the athletes.
I think if we start the blockers up.
She's had to recruit the parents.
She's even had to recruit the math teacher.
She needed someone to do clock, so I learned today about when to stop it and when to start it.
I'm like the stats person, so I just keep all the stats, Im helping doing camera and everything like that.
For Tyla, coaching flag football feels like a homecoming.
She graduated from this school ten years ago.
Yeah Maddy, yeah Staia!
Now as she she pursues her PhD in clinical psychology, she drives an hour and a half each way to coach this team.
Yeah, let's get some momentum.
Lets get some momentum going.
I am not Tyla getting my PhD without George Washington High School, and so it's always about giving back to me.
Really, once you get here and you build relationships, it's hard to let them go.
She's revered by her team, Her kind of attitude about keeping it in the moment, keeping that positive attitude, its a big thing.
But with others, she hasnt gained many yards.
I'm also pretty young, and I'm a female, right, so in a male dominant world, I've had a lot of unsolicited advice, whether it's from the dads or whether it's refs or other coaches.
But the advice only comes when we're, when we're losing.
I know when they play, how they play, they can turn anything around.
Seriously I trust you guys with everything in me, everything in me.
And with Coach T on the sidelines, this is just the beginning.
Good job, good job.
Good job, good job, good job.
They always make me proud.
When life gives you a house, move it.
