As we draw a pelican.
We're going to begin with the eyes.
A circle shape.
A line coming across the top for the eyelid, and then the pupil.
We're going to bring a line down in, and then we down here that's going to end up forming the neck.
Top of the head.
Little fluff of feathers right here.
Come down.
And a letter fluff feathers right here.
Down.
Scribble, scribble out and down.
Now for the long beak.
Down.
Up.
And connect.
There's a very thin line from the tip of the beak to the head, and that adds a little bit of depth and dimension to it.
Out in.
Down, up and in A pelicans Gullet pouch.
Can hold up the three gallons of water.
They use that pouch to scoop up food.
at a line here and here we see just a little bit of the interior or inside of the mouth.
It's a curved line.
And then fill in behind that line.
Good.
Add one more line just like so.
For the wings.
We pick up where we left off, right at the neck.
Come down, around, up, down and up, down and up, down and up and stop.
We come down, around, out.
And then the tail feathers.
The tail feathers are just the letter W. The American white pelican stands up to four feet tall and has a wingspan of up to nine feet.
For our legs.
One, two, one, two.
Our feet a letter C come out letter M and back in N connect.
Same thing again in reverse.
Let's see backwards letter M and connect.
Good.
We're going to have them standing a little.
Post a line across, down and down.
There's a little bit of texture on that.
Would it looks like this.
Just any little scribbles will work just fine.
Never take a pelican out to dinner.
They always have a huge bill.
Lastly, we have the eyebrows and then sign your name.
Take pride in your work.
And there's your pelican.
Great job.
I knew you could do it.
You have a Peli-can do attitude.
